Marillion, a British progressive rock band founded in 1979, has released 18 studio albums since its inception and still stands today, after 40 years of career and over 15 million albums sold, as one of the most remarkable bands in their genre. With F*** Everyone And Run (F E A R), a huge global success and the album with the highest records in the charts around the world since Steve Hogarth's arrival in 1989, Marillion has shown that the band remains brilliant and alive, while continuing its exploration through the genre.
In 2019, Marillion released With Friends From The Orchestra, their latest studio album, accompanied by the string quartet “In Praise of Folly,” featuring the most beautiful treasures of Marillion reimagined. That same year, the band presented these very special versions on stage, even showcasing “Gaza” and “Zeparated Out” in a new light.
