The voices of Danish soloists and producers Kira Skov (Kira and the Kindred Spirits, Tricky) and Marie Fisker (Trentemøller) merge for a shared experience titled The Cabin Project. In spring 2013, for nine days, the two artists isolated themselves in a cabin in the Canadian wilderness with guitarist Oliver Hoiness and saxophonist Ned Ferm. There, they recorded with the legendary engineer/producer Mark Howard, known for being Daniel Lanois' (Bob Dylan, Marianne Faithfull, Iggy Pop, Neil Young) associate for 23 years. "...Making this record was a very special adventure. Firstly, there was Mark's recording method, which reflects his techniques and inspiration; and then the wild nature around us, and our spontaneous evolutions during the process, the exchange of ideas, playing live too... A labyrinth confronted us – sometimes we couldn't separate our two voices during the sessions – ultimately, the recording became a mirror that inspired us and a crucible that brought us together!"
