«Weaving links between the past and the present is the aim of the young pianist Marie Ange Nguci who invokes Bach, Franck, Saint Saëns, and Escaich, with the organ as a meeting point. Both César Franck, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Thierry Escaich represent emblematic figures of a line of composers united for having been among the greatest organists and improvisers of their time. This recording offers a cross-section portrait of their works for piano, highlighting the strong imprint that this vocation has left on their pianistic creation. In a tutelary figure, the voice of J.-S. Bach will be represented here through the intermediary of Ferruccio Busoni, who dedicated himself to the study of the piano transcription of the works for organ of the Cantor.
