The mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa, with her unique, colorful and deep voice, is back with a very personal and festive album celebrating her Spanish, Occitan and French roots (Bizet/Carmen, de Falla, Ravel, Mompou, Offenbach...). With the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Thibaut Garcia, Stanislas de Barbeyrac... Exploring her French, Occitan and Spanish origins, mezzo-soprano Marianne Crebassa embarks on a colorful journey that is both a personal and musical path through opera and song. Here she encounters Bizet’s Carmen, Salud from de Falla’s La vida breve, as well as French, Spanish, Catalan and Galician songs. The other composers featured on the album Séguedilles are Massenet, Saint-Saëns, Offenbach, Ravel, Mompou and Guridi. This repertoire allows one to appreciate every nuance of her unique, colorful and deep voice, and the range of her phenomenal tessitura, thanks also to the varied textures made possible by the sumptuous Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse conducted by Ben Glassberg, as well as Thibaut Garcia’s guitar, Alphonse Cemin’s piano, and the voices of Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Victoire Bunel, Céline Laborie and Adriana Gonzales.
