Intégrale de l’œuvre pour piano

Description

This CD brings together all the piano music by Alberto Ginastera, one of the most important composers of the 20th century in Argentina. · His works for piano represent Latin American passion: brutal, sensual, evocative, sentimental, always filled with the rhythms and vibrant colors of the music and folk dances of his native country. Ginastera’s piano sonatas are dark, “serious,” dynamic works, and sometimes built on 12-tone melodic lines. The shorter pieces (such as the famous Danzas Argentinas) are highly entertaining and virtuosic.
