Rainbow

Description

Seventh studio album by the American singer-songwriter, originally released in 1999. "Rainbow" features a blend of hip-hop-influenced R&B jams, as well as a variety of slow ballads. On the album, Carey worked with David Foster and Diane Warren, who, in addition to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, replaced Walter Afanasieff, the main balladeer with whom Carey worked throughout the 1990s. Carey collaborated with several artists on the album, including Jay-Z, Usher, and Snoop Dogg, as well as Missy Elliott, Joe, Da Brat, Master P, 98°, and Mystikal.
