Don Giovanni Coffret Edition Limitée Inclus livre-disque et Blu-ray

Description

Deutsche Grammophon continues its series of reissues of legendary operas in deluxe book-and-record format, remastered from the original tapes and presented on CD and high-definition Blu-Ray audio 96kHz/24-bit, accompanied by the original librettos and synopses in English, French, and German. The famous recording of Mozart's Don Giovanni by Ferenc Fricsay, made in 1958 in Berlin with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau in the title role, marks the centenary of tenor Ernst Haefliger (born July 6, 1919), who performs the role of Don Ottavio. The reissue of Igor Markevitch's interpretation of Berlioz's La Damnation de Faust, recorded in 1959 with the Orchestre des Concerts Lamoureux and a cast led by an impressive Richard Verreau, commemorates the 150th anniversary of Hector Berlioz's death (March 8, 1869).
