Tosca was the role in which Callas performed for the last time at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, at the Metropolitan Opera, and at the Opéra de Paris - in 1965, the very year of this complete recording, the last recording by the singer of a full opera. 12 years after her first version of Tosca, she reunites here with Tito Gobbi's Scarpia.
