One had to think of it: bringing together 17th-century music and jazz! On one side, tenor Marco Beasley, who has conveyed through his voice all the sunshine and exuberance of Southern Italy; on the other, the Ensemble L'Arpeggiata led by Christina Pluhar, a group of baroque musicians who can be as smooth as they are fiery, and finally clarinetist Gianluigi Trovesi. All seem to be on a quest for the essence of improvisation - which is at the heart of the baroque "ostinato" and the work of jazz musicians. The result is as astonishing as it is indescribable: it is an overflow of colors, where improvisation brings each artist together in the realm of the unprecedented, of surprise. Welcome to dreamland.
