This triptych dedicated to the music of Guillaume de Machaut is significant for several reasons: first, L’Amoureus Tourment marks the first recording of the young Marc Mauillon, who has since had an exemplary career, not only in early music. Furthermore, each volume has received the most prestigious awards, starting with the Diapason d’Or of the year in 2008 for Le Remède de Fortune. Finally, this music, so vibrant 700 years after its creation, is brought to life by a group of musicians who have each contributed to its resurrection at the highest level in their respective fields, foremost among them Angélique Mauillon on harp, Pierre Hamon on flutes, and Vivabiancaluna Biffi on vielle.
