After a notable debut album (BE / ÊTRE), Malo’ returns with ORIGAMI, a second intimate and luminous record. Conceived as a sensitive object, it explores an inner journey blending a quest for meaning and self-construction, between shadow and light. Franco-Australian, Malo’ draws from a dual musical culture. His pop blends French chanson and Anglo-Saxon influences, carried by sensitive songwriting that transcends trends. Son of a musician, he grew up on the road, immersed early on in the musical world. At 7, he composed his first songs. In his teenage years, he joined his mother in Australia, where he met JOHN STONE (father of the duo Angus & Julia Stone), who became his mentor. Discovered by a French label, Malo’ returned to record his first album. He then performed prestigious opening acts, notably for Les Insus at the Stade de France, before his own tour. His performance at Printemps de Bourges, met with a standing ovation, marked a turning point. He was named "Talent of the Year" by France Bleu, and his track PAUSE was featured in commercials for Volkswagen and Materne. With ORIGAMI, Malo’ offers twelve tracks, each a new emotional fold: love, loss, resilience, doubts, and reconciliations. The album blends gospel, Motown, rock, and modern pop, served by elegant production. He collaborated with artists such as SAGE, CHARLIE WINSTON, L’IMPÉRATRICE, and ELECTRO DELUXE. Standout tracks include VOODOO, PLAYA SAUDADE, TORÉADOR, SI TU VOYAIS, and LAISSE-MOI PARTIR, which is autobiographical and poignant. LAISSE-TOI TRANQUILLE, which has become an anthem for self-kindness, has accumulated millions of streams. LOVE ON DEMAND, a duet with JULIA STONE, adds an international touch. With ORIGAMI, Malo’ delivers an introspective and universal album, carried by a unique voice and finely crafted lyrics. A work to discover fold after fold.
