Mallet Horn Jazz Band Digipack

Description

Bien after the true age of bronze, a new alloy was born from the foundries of the Loire region: it is romanticism assembled with the after beat, howls married to virtuosity, the first song of the devil welded to the infernal rhythm. The Mallet-Horn Jazz Band does not invent a new instrument, it invents a new assembly, a new sonority born of instruments whose origin is lost in the depths of time: a marimba, a vibraphone, a double bass, a drum kit and... a horde of French horns led by its Master Arkady Schilkloper. It does not overturn the repertoire of jazz and the Big Band, it revisits it, twists it, shouts it, whispers it...
Thus, of this ensemble, you already knew everything, but you have never heard this: A chiselled, brilliant rhythm section, the talents of Mogan Cornebert (drums) and Ivan Gélugne (double bass), set with two keyboards forged from a rare metal: Benoit Lavollée (Vibraphone) and Renaud Détruit (Vibraphone), linked by the claws of the horns to a spectrum of colors, nuances and ambiguities so vast. An extravagant adornment for a repertoire of standards and creations.
