MALEVOLENT CREATION is an American death metal band formed in Buffalo, New York in 1987 and moved to Florida in 1988. Probably one of the best metal albums in the crossover of thrash and death metal! "The Ten Commandments" is probably the greatest combination of death and thrash metal ever composed. The album is full of fast and energetic guitar work, which is clear as Malevolent Creation is considered "Slayer on acid." They don't necessarily bring a lot of new ideas, but what really sets them apart is Bret Hoffmann's unique and intense vocal performance. Malevolent Creation was one of the pioneers, formed in 1987, and this record is quite heavy, completed in September 1990. Every death metal fan must have it; it has all the components to deserve classic status. Produced by Scott "Death" Burns, the album features a stunning cover by Dan Seagrave. It's fast and furious and full of violent and anti-religious lyrics, with great song titles like "Multiple Stab Wounds" and "Thou Shall Kill!" There simply isn't a weak track on "The Ten Commandments," making this record a must-have journey into the world of old school death metal for anyone.
