Mai Yamane

Tasogare Yellow Clear Vinyl

Description

A cult album of Japanese City Pop, Tasogare by Mai Yamane returns in a limited edition on transparent yellow vinyl. Driven by the sophisticated arrangements of Makoto Matsushita and Mai Yamane’s powerful, slightly husky, and melancholic voice, this album has become an essential reference in the genre. Blending soul, jazz-funk, and Japanese pop, Tasogare unfolds an elegant, twilight atmosphere, true to its title. A true treasure rediscovered by lovers of Japanese music, it has also gained international renown thanks to its many samples in hip-hop productions. A reissue especially sought after by collectors and City Pop enthusiasts.
