Description

After the success of "Ray Of Light," Madonna drives home the electro experience with a new album largely produced by the miraculous Mirwais (former member of Taxi Girl turned techno angel). He has built her a sound cathedral straight out of the 22nd century, with an architecture that is sometimes extravagant and kitschy (see the single "Music"), and sometimes stripped down, highlighting the effective melodies of the beautiful (the magnificent "Paradise (Not For Me)"). He also takes great pleasure in demystifying the pop star by distorting her voice with numerous sound effects. Madonna takes artistic risks (albeit calculated), and it is a success.
