In 1993, Lyrics Born first appeared with "Send Them," a 12-inch single released on the prestigious Solesides Label. Twenty-two years later, he is still a major presence on the American Hip Hop scene, returning with his 8th album on Mobile Home Recordings, his own label. After touring with Latyrx, he retreated to New Orleans and enlisted Galactic members Robert Mercurio and Ben Ellman for production. They, in turn, brought in Trombone Shorty, Ivan Neville, the Preservation Jazz Hall Band, Corey Glover (Living Colour), Corey Henry (Rebirth Brass Band), David Shaw (The Revivalists), and Billy Martin for prestigious collaborations. Jazz has always been present in Lyrics Born's music, and on this album, it is undoubtedly more vibrant than ever before.
