Andalou de Grenade, Luis de la Carrasca is one of the references in the Flamenco world. Self-taught, he inherited the gift of his ancestors for "el Cante." In this new album, he continues his sonic exploration, one foot in tradition, the other in modernity. While "Baró Drom" (Gran Viaje) evokes the gypsies, it also reflects the Great Journeys across the world and the history of mankind up to the present day. In this journey with two Flamenco guitars, he also incorporates a breath of classical music with the piano, a Flamenco instinct, and a jazz impulse with the double bass, a freedom with world multi-percussions, and an energy with the choirs. The vibration that Flamenco provokes when it reaches its peak comes from a state of lucid trance that enhances strength and controls the energy needed to elevate it to its climax. Luis de la Carrasca desires a music without limits that he can integrate with any other music and even take to Flamenco.
