Um Corpo No Mundo: Luedji Luna's first solo album, the Afro-Brazilian activist with a silky voice. Born Luedji Gomes Santa Rita in 1987 in Salvador, the capital of Bahia in northeastern Brazil, she was named "Luedji" by her parents in homage to an African queen. Her parents are part of the black activist movement and initially Luedji intended to continue in the political work of her parents. However, her attraction to music proved too strong. She moved to São Paulo where she released the single "Um Corpo No Mundo" in 2016, and the popularity of the track allowed her to continue with an album. The album was produced by the Swede, Sebastian Notini (latest album of Oumou Sangaré, Tiganá Santana, Virginia Rodriguez...). She has received numerous awards in Brazil for the album (released in 2017) and for her powerful stage presence. This European release is accompanied by her first tour outside of Brazil.
