He also recently participated in the soundtrack of the film "The Father" in 2020. Ludovico Einaudi returns to solo piano for his new album - a first in 20 years. The lockdown gave him the opportunity to isolate himself and fully work on this project that was close to his heart. Ludovico Einaudi created the album "Underwater" by writing songs rather than composing. This approach can be noticed in the melody of "Luminous," the first excerpt from this project. "I spent days preparing my grand piano to create a soft, warm, intimate, and distinctive sound. It’s a very specific sound that represents the feeling of the music. I wanted the piano to speak and sing in a very intimate way, as if I were talking one-on-one with someone in a personal connection." - Ludovico Einaudi.
