Ludovico Einaudi returns with a brand new album titled « The Summer Portraits ».Last summer, Einaudi rented a house on the island of Elba, Italy. There he discovered beautiful oil paintings on wood. They depicted views of the house and seemed very personal. After inquiring, he learned that they had been painted over time by a woman who owned the house in the 1950s and spent her summers there. This prompted him to recall his childhood summers, filled with freedom and sensory experiences, which contrast with his return to his industrial hometown of Turin.
