En juillet 1955, à l'âge de 19 ans, Luciano Pavarotti se rend au Pays de Galles, rejoignant son père dans une chorale de Modène pour participer au festival international de musique de Llangollen. Ils remportent de loin le concours de voix masculines. Plus tard, Luciano Pavarotti considérera cette expérience comme un moment décisif qui façonnera son destin.
