Armstrong Louis / Satch Plays Fats

Description

This reissue celebrates Fats Waller (1904-1943) through an LP featuring his compositions performed by Louis Armstrong (1901-1971), a little over a decade after Waller's death. The album highlights some of his best tracks, including "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Black and Blue," two iconic pieces from Armstrong's repertoire. Although Louis and Fats never recorded a commercial disc together, this LP captures the spirit and talent of the legendary jazz pianist.
