Description

Following the flop of "Berlin," which he experienced as a traumatic event, Lou Reed decided to give himself a "commercial" break. "Rock'n'Roll Animal" is therefore a live album leaning towards heavy metal mixed with glam. Two guitarists escaped from Alice Cooper's band engage in fierce duels, and the classics of the Velvet Underground suddenly take on the airs of Southern boogies (White Light / White Heat, Rock'n'Roll) or lyrical masses (Sweet Jane, Heroin), sometimes stretching out to thirteen minutes.
