Reissue of the three albums by LOOP. English psychedelic rock band founded in Croydon, southeast London, by Robert Bampson and his wife Bex, active from 1986 to 1991. Three albums and a Peel session made this band one of the cornerstones of the English rock scene of the '80s. The compositions have the cyclical structures of krautrock and a noisy, dissonant sound.
Pseudo-rivals of Spacemen 3 and The Jesus and Mary Chain, together they are partly responsible for the birth of shoegaze. Fade Out is Loop's second album. The band was heavily influenced by groups such as The Velvet Underground and The MC5, but retained an avant-garde and experimental side of Can, Faust, Neu!, Rhys Chatham, Glenn Branca, and minimalist music.
