It’s not clear if Lonepsi raps or sings, or if one is a distortion of the other. His expressive finesse reveals a vocabulary referenced far beyond rap, where attitude and ego-trips are replaced by urban poetry in which images resonate. Singer-songwriter Lonepsi released his first album, "Après la pluie," on October 22, 2021. 13 tracks, 13 memories. What if each drop that fell on your skin was a piece of a memory? What if, through the simple water cycle, you could dive back into the buried moments of your memory? This is the gamble Lonepsi takes with this first album. Afternoons under an umbrella, nights shaken by the cry of storms, the eternal morning dew: rain is the past returning. Between the poetic caresses of his piano notes, his smooth voice that mends the silence, oscillating between singing and rapping and exalting even the rhythms to make hard hearts beat, Lonepsi leaves us here facing our greatest dilemma: flirting with the hourglass of time. With his unique, singular, and melancholic style, between rap and song, Lonepsi continues to establish himself as one of the most gifted and atypical artists of the moment. Lonepsi will be touring across France starting in January 2022, and in concert at the Salle Pleyel on March 10, 2022.
