Description

Grand nomadic New York teenager of 25, London O'Connor is a young composer and producer who already shows great mastery and belongs to the line of those who succeed in everything they undertake: piano, singing, hip-hop, and probably many other things as well. The Transmusicales were right to invite him to Rennes in 2015 among the revelations of the year. Self-taught, the young man produced and recorded O?* entirely on his own. This first album draws inspiration from both hip-hop phrasing and electro drum machines, over which he lays a soft and moving voice reminiscent of Daniel Johnston or Childish Gambino on well-balanced hip-hop mixed with old-school pop. Alternating sensuality, candor, and melancholy, London O'Connor's album is both a true emotional elevator and a wonder that one never tires of, a debut album oscillating "between DIY electro and introspective pop.
