A new voice in the British choral tradition, the composer Edward Picton-Turbervill! This new album brings together three works by Edward Picton-Turbervill, centered around *Out of Eden*, a vast meditation on the relationship between humanity and the natural world. Written for the London Choral Sinfonia and a small ensemble of instrumentalists, *Out of Eden* creates a rich sound world from modest forces; the score oscillates between moments of calm and intensity, blending choral writing, solo voices, and instrumental colors. Under the direction of Michael Waldron, the London Choral Sinfonia brings clarity and commitment to music that speaks with urgency yet also with restraint.
