Notes: My grandmother was named Jeannine Rose Pambrun, she passed away in 2000, just after my parents' separation, I knew her very little but I believe we had a good bond. I spent my childhood listening to my mother tell me stories about Jeannine, it took until I was 26 for me to think about recording them. In January 2018, Stwo, Superpoze, VM The Don, Mohave, Pierrick Devin and I went to Rome to lock ourselves in an apartment for three weeks, functioning like a band, we returned to France with about twenty demos, I kept only a third of them. The song "Tout lâcher" was started on the first day and finished on the second, this spontaneity pushed me to release it shortly after... During the following tour, I was looking for a way to tell my audience that I found them beautiful when they let loose, one day during a concert I shouted "It's beautiful madness", this phrase became the guiding thread of the album. This album was made in nine months. The rectangle on the cover is taken from an old photo of my grandmother, in this photo she was posing in the 60s in front of her sister's house in Gagny. "Trop beau" and "Plus de larmes" were recorded on other instrumentals, then reworked by Vladimir Cauchemar from the a cappella versions. Katerine wrote his chorus on a drawing by his niece while he was on vacation in Brittany, this drawing represented five fingers. "Le vrai moi" is a keyboard/voice song that I was very eager to make following the acoustic covers of FLIP. In the second verse of "Dave Grohl" I talk about a girl I met last July, we only kissed that night because she already had someone in her life. Maybe we would have lived a beautiful story, maybe I got a little carried away, I will never have the answer to that question... The lyrics of the chorus of "1000°C" changed completely, three times, before becoming final. The song "Dans le livret" was produced by me in 2015 in the studio of the 75th session, it took three years, a little filter and especially Pierrick's guitar to make this song listenable haha. As I write this text we are on October 8, 2018, it is 5:47 PM and it is our 43rd consecutive day for Pierrick and me, locked in his little studio in Paris. We experienced very intense moments of stress but I believe we know each other well now, and we managed to finish it on time, thanks to him, this album is also his. Thank you for accepting me as I am and for trusting me, thank you to my little family and my close friends, including my management, those who make my videos and those who accompany me on tour... I hope this dream will continue a little longer. It's beautiful, yeah it's beautiful...
