My Wild West is LISSIE’s third studio album and the first to be released on the Cooking Vinyl label. LISSIE was introduced to the public in 2008 when she opened for Lenny Kravitz on his 2008 world tour, the “Love Revolution Tour,” after he discovered her through her MySpace. That same year, ‘The Longest Road’, a song she co-wrote with DJ Morgan Page, reached fourth place on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs, was remixed by DeadMau5, and was nominated at the Grammys as “best remixed track.” Her first album, Catching a Tiger, released on June 21, 2010, was certified gold in the UK and Norway, where it reached #12 and #4 respectively on the albums chart upon release, driven by the single ‘When I’m Alone’. In 2013, her new album Back To Forever was released, which also entered the top 20 albums in the UK and Norway. Her new album My Wild West is a kind of return to her roots; she says goodbye to California and moves back to the Midwest. The album was recorded in Nashville with producer Bill Reynolds (Band Of Horses), in Curt Schneider’s studio.
