Description

It’s the story of a recognition that came late and primarily on stage. A love story like one rarely sees between an artist and their audience: concerts that follow one after another, word of mouth serving as the main promotion. A story "in the old-fashioned way." All is Well, the previous LP, was a sort of antechamber to My World. The compositions and arrangements are based on simple and organic choices, dictated by the obvious strength of the group: its acoustic value, the "live sound," a patina that doesn’t deceive, patiently honed over the course of the group’s stage activity. My World is the culmination of a very effective balance that Lisa Simone, Hervé Samb, and their musicians managed to create on stage continuously for two years. New instruments have joined the original group. A brass section and percussion to support the groovier tracks, and a string quartet to add an extra layer of soul.
