The Georgian violinist Lisa Batiashvili delivers recordings of Bach Father and Son. Alongside the famous Double Concerto for violin and oboe in C minor, Lisa Batiashvili presents two premieres for Deutsche Grammophon: - the transcription for violin and oboe of the moving "Erbarme Dich, mein Gott" from the St. Matthew Passion, originally written for contralto voice; - the Trio Sonata for flute, violin, and cello composed by Carl Philipp Emanuel, Bach's son. Lisa Batiashvili chose to record the music of Bach Father and Son with family. On one hand, with her husband François Leleux, considered the best oboist of his generation; on the other hand, with her musical family, notably the talented flutist Emmanuel Pahud, soloist of the Berliner Philharmoniker, and cellist Sebastian Klinger.
