Description

Born in Malaysia to Chinese parents, LINDA OH grew up in Perth, Australia, successively moving from learning the piano to the clarinet, then from the bassoon to the electric bass. She joined bands specializing in covers of the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS before settling on the double bass. A partner of DAVE DOUGLAS, KENNY BARON or KEVIN HAYES, LINDA OH now lives in New York, the inevitable crossroads of all jazz. Following on from Initial Here (2012), LINDA’s 3rd album assembles a set of postcards sent from the many cities that hosted her own groups, the quintet of DAVE DOUGLAS or his group with JOE LOVANO.
