Singer-songwriter Lily Kershaw, based in Los Angeles, returns with Pain & More, her new concept album that is a collection of deliciously heartbreaking ruminations, evidence of life, on existence behind a veil of melancholy. Collectively, they feel like they have lived a whole life of repression, suddenly liberated. At the heart of Lily's narratives is the idea that others will likely identify with her pain or benefit from it. Humble yet highly melodic, the whimsically titled Pain & More is an emotionally tactile album that confronts the many incarnations of prolonged and persistent depression that has enveloped Lily's life for decades. It may be her third album, but it is her defining moment - a vivid whirlwind, though sometimes uncomfortable, of anxiety and hope. Lily released her first album Midnight In The Garden in 2013, featuring the single "As It Seems." The album was streamed millions of times and received critical acclaim, and in the following years, she secured several placements in shows like Criminal Minds, Grey's Anatomy, Finding Carter, Ted Lasso, and many more. She followed up with her EP Lost Angeles (2018) and her second album Arcadia (2021), which was praised by Nylon, American Songwriter, Vulture, Earmilk, Refinery29, CNN, and others. Along the way, Lily honed her craft touring alongside Radical Face, Mason Jennings, The Weepies, and Joshua Radin, to name just a few, and has now amassed over 80 million streams.
