Description
Here, Lévon returns to his "Sources," as the name of the album. He is accompanied by three duduk players, a kamancheh player, a percussionist, and a pianist. His sister Roselyne, who performed on his first album already, joins him for a song. Lévon has explored the depths of the Armenian music repertoire and has appropriated these melodies differently. He alternates interpretations of traditional pieces with those of composers from the 18th century (like Sayat Nova) to the present day (Djivan Gasparian).
