Still climbing

Description

The return of the Woodstock veteran! Still at the top of his game, Leslie West returns with a new album once again co-produced by Danish Mike “Metal” Goldberg. It is a true testament to his extraordinary artistic longevity. And it is no surprise that the main theme of this new record is survival and triumph, when you know that the man managed to beat cancer. Famous for his power trio Mountain but also for a prolific career as a musician (in the studio with the Who on “Who’s Next”..), West had no trouble bringing together for this record heavyweights of the caliber of Johnny Winter, Dee Snider (singer of Twisted Sisters) or even Johnny Lang. Extraordinary musicians you would not expect to see playing on the record of just any other artist!!! The result is a furious blend of blues and rock, all a little heavier than on his previous album. Special mention for the great anthology moment on “Busted, Disgusted or Dead”, where West and Winter engage in a true slide guitar duel!
