Best of Enko On Ti Tou

Description

Fifty years after their debut, the valiant veterans of Antillean funk are back, and they have not lost their spark. Things are going to heat up! For a long time they were appreciated above all by the Antillean community, which knows the value of this no-holds-barred combo that got the whole island dancing throughout the feverish 1970s. It is only very recently that young vinyl enthusiasts have rediscovered the mythical Guadeloupeans, their great mix (tumbele, cadencelyspo, reggae, soul, latin jazz, funk, zouk, biguine) through a few compilations. And today, they are in demand across the Channel, while an anthology of their tracks is finally being reissued. Enough to spark ideas: "I'm sure we could reform the group and go again for ten years, the Vikings are still young," their leader Camille "Sopran'n" Hildevert said. His wish has come true!
