After their previous album titled Le poids des confettis, the Boulay sisters present their new work, 4488 e l'Amour. For this occasion, the singer-songwriters from New Richmond have surrounded themselves with seasoned musicians who will add different sounds to their signature musical environment: electric guitars (Gabriel Gratton and Jesse Mac Cormack), drums (Vincent Carré and Samuel Joly), wind instruments (Renaud Gratton and Jérôme Dupuis-Cloutier), strange percussion, and exotic vibes created by Philippe B, a collaborator once again. The album is described as follows: It is largely on their journeys, along the long roads of Quebec, Canada, Europe (on tour), and India or Mexico (for pleasure), that the Boulay sisters crafted the songs for this second record. 4488 e l'Amour is an address that doesn't really exist, and there's a reason for that. It is the quest for home: the one we have, the ones we seek, the ones we find, and the ones that no longer exist. It is also about the presence of those who live there, who inhabit us, or who we miss. It is, in essence, the search for freedom through travel and uprooting, a quest for identity, madness, and lasting relationships as well.
