In 10 years of their career, it can be said that Les Goguettes (a trio but with four members) have renewed the ancestral art of chansonniers thanks to their sharp, incisive, sometimes cruel humor, but never mean or vulgar. These four singer-songwriters-musicians draw from the considerable repertoire of popular songs from here and elsewhere to address and poke fun at current events. Raised in the 80s and 90s on the humor of Les Guignols, Le Canard Enchaîné, Charlie, Renaud, Les Inconnus..., these goguettiers offer a show that resembles a giant game of knockdown where everything is fair game. The right, the left, the center, the prominent figures (to be polite) of the political arena, major hot topics, trivial controversies, the upcoming electoral campaign, the latest fashion trends... they are capable of mocking everything, including themselves. This fourth album follows Le changement, C'est Doucement, which dealt with François Hollande's presidency, Globalement D'accord covering the first year of Emmanuel Macron's first term, and Le temps béni de la Pandémie, which was recorded during the first lockdown. It thus aims to cover the political period of the last five years, always targeting political parties from all sides but focusing on the current government and increasingly relevant themes such as inflation or the climate crisis.
