Three years after ""So far so good"", LES FILS DU FACTEUR return with a fifth opus more polished than ever. Under the expert direction of Flavien Vanlanduyt and Antoine Passard, the songs composed by four pairs of hands explore new paths, tinkering and fiddling to bring out the best of themselves.
Here, there is no filler; each track takes a clear stance both musically and poetically. From the synth pop of the first single « Lune » to the hip hop of « A l’espérance » to the rock opera oddity of: « Tox et détox », the quartet has freed itself from all barriers. This freedom allows them to offer a new variety, a variety in the strictest sense of the term somewhere between Talk Talk, Boulevard des Airs, les Innocents, or The Nits in what pop can offer at its best.
The lyrics, for their part, oscillate between gravity and lightness. They aim to hit the listener with a direct and straightforward style. They talk about death, love, suicide, transidentity, and even the end of the world without ever resorting to euphemism. Both full of irony and seriousness, this album remains in line with the Fils du Facteur: generous and full of tenderness.
