Les Grands Offertoires Gregoriens Volume 2

Description

Gregorian chant certainly finds its most accomplished expression in the Offertory antiphon. This musical meditation on the psalms contains treasures of invention that attest to the level of excellence of medieval liturgy.
If genius is present in every note, the impression these melodies leave on the soul remains a unique experience.
Les Chantres du Thoronet profoundly renew the aesthetics of Gregorian chant through a lively and original approach, where the beauty of the chant is truly rooted in a search for the right vocal gesture, in the service of spiritual depth.
