The first all-female supergroup in West Africa, Les Amazones d'Afrique is a global music phenomenon; a creative force that embraces international voices, sweet and strong harmonies that advocate for the rights of women and girls, and a fusion of heritage and new talent. The collective was formed in 2014 in Bamako, Mali, by three major stars of Malian music and activists for social change: Mamani Keïta, Oumou Sangaré, and Mariam Doumbia.
