Originaire de Notodden (Norway), the band distills a unique and particularly personal art, tinged with influences such as Opeth and Emperor but assimilated to such an extent that it exudes a strong, unique, and obvious personality. Airy, stratospheric through the use of keyboards with sometimes seventies sounds, a clear voice synonymous with melancholic melodies, the album transports. Refined and wild through rough riffs, a screamed voice, and growls sprinkled here and there, Bilateral shines. A bright future seems destined for Leprous; let’s bet that the inspiration which is the key word of this album will remain their leitmotif for years to come and that the successors of Bilateral will be adorned with the same golden envelope, it cannot be otherwise.
