«Good Thing», produced by Ricky Reed, follows «Coming Home», the critically acclaimed debut album by Leon Bridges, which has won multiple awards and sold over 900,000 copies worldwide. Leon, his longtime collaborators and producers of «Coming Home», Niles City Sound, left Texas to fly to Los Angeles to work with Rick Reed with the idea of bringing Leon's music in a more modern R&B direction while staying true to his style. Leon says of this album: «I loved my experience with «Coming Home». «Good Thing» however allows me to show even more of my influences and artistic direction. I am excited to share these tracks and perform them live.» «Good Thing» was born from the title «Bad Bad News», in which we can hear «They say I was born to lose, but I did a good thing, far from the bad news».
