The 90s were not always easy for traditional metal bands, and especially in the United States, it took several years after Grunge, Crossover and the like for things to ease up again. Insiders know, however, that there were many local productions that also made a name for themselves across the Atlantic. Among them was LEGACY, founded at the end of the 90s to celebrate their style, influenced on the one hand by Dio and Judas Priest, but also by Dream Theater or Symphony X on the other. Bands from their native Ohio such as Chastain, Magnitude 9 and Arch Rival should also be mentioned. In 2000, the first album "Slay The Beast" was released, which was recorded live to analog tape in a short time. The band therefore considers "Stand And Conquer" to be the first "real" album, especially since the line-up had been adjusted to reach an optimal lineup between the two releases. A few copies also made it to Germany, where a full-page interview (by Martin Brandt) could be found in Heavy magazine (aka "Heavy Oder Was ?!"). For the 20th anniversary, there is now not only a remastered version of the CD including a 20-page booklet (liner notes, photos, lyrics, scans etc.), but also for the first time an LP (with a printed inlay).
