PHYSICAL GRAFFITI

Description

"The Led Zeppelin reissue campaign continues in 2015 with the re-release of the double album Physical Graffiti. The Deluxe Edition of the band's sixth studio album will be released 40 years to the day after the original album's release, on February 24, 1975. The reissues of Led Zeppelin's first five albums in 2014 were a commercial success, with many editions charting in the Top 10 worldwide. These reissues were also enthusiastically received by critics, winning, among other accolades, the "Reissue of the Year" award from Classic Rock magazine. As was the case with previous Deluxe editions, Physical Graffiti has been remastered by guitarist/producer Jimmy Page and features a companion disc including unreleased tracks related to the original album.Certified 16 times platinum in the United States, the commercial success of Physical Graffiti is matched only by its critical reception. Often considered the greatest double album of all time, its 15 tracks are a creative tour de force showcasing the band's musical breadth and dynamism, from the powerful rock of "Custard Pie" to the acoustic arrangements of "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" to the Eastern ragas of "Kashmir" and the funky groove of "Trampled Under Foot."The companion disc offered in the Deluxe Edition of Physical Graffiti includes seven unreleased tracks, including rough mixes of "In My Time Of Dying" and "Houses Of The Holy" as well as a working mix of "Trampled Under Foot" titled "Brandy & Coke." All these unreleased companion tracks offer a new perspective on well-known songs, such as a mix of "Boogie With Stu" recorded at Sunset Sound studio and "Driving Through Kashmir", an eight-minute rough orchestral mix of the epic "Kashmir." "Everybody Makes It Through", a surprisingly different working version of "In The Light" with alternative lyrics, is also included."
