Leah McHenry, known as Leah (born November 4, 1984), is a Canadian heavy metal musician who records both as a solo artist and, since 2018, as a member of Dragonlord. Sometimes dubbed "the Enya of heavy metal," she performs a blend of symphonic and Celtic metal with folk and world music. As a solo artist, she has released four albums: Of Earth & Angels in 2012, Kings & Queens in 2015, The Quest in 2018, and Ancient Winter in 2019; two EPs: Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence in 2012 and Otherworld in 2013; and twenty singles, both as part of album releases and as standalone recordings. She frequently collaborates with Eric Peterson of Testament and Dragonlord, Timo Somers of Delain and Vengeance, Sander Zoer of Delain, Barend Courbois of Blind Guardian and Vengeance, and Troy Donockley of Nightwish. McHenry and Peterson released a collaborative single, "Winter Sun," in 2015. She joined Dragonlord for their studio album Dominion in 2018. She also participated in the charity group Project Aegis. Her genre is "Celtic Fantasy Metal" and her albums could easily serve as soundtracks to shows like Game of Thrones or Vikings. Her fans call her "the Enya of metal" and she embodies the "warrior queen" archetype for thousands of devoted listeners worldwide. Her upcoming sixth album, "The Glory and the Fallen," marks a new evolution for the singer-songwriter. Presenting new challenges and reaching new territories in the songwriting phase, this album promises not only to be her most epic and groundbreaking to date, but it is a monumental soundscape inspired by fantasy, history, and personal journey. This highly anticipated new release will feature renowned musicians Mark Jansen (Epica, MaYaN), Timo Somers (Arjen Lucassen, Ex Delain) and Sander Zoer (Delain), and was produced by Oliver Philipps (Everon, Fantasme).
