Baptiste Romain, head of the ensemble Le Miroir de Musique, has just been appointed professor at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. To celebrate this appointment, he enriches the "Instruments" collection of Ricercar with a recital dedicated to the medieval hurdy-gurdy: dances and songs of troubadours as well as polyphonic compositions from the 13th to the 15th century illustrate the various stages of the evolution of this instrument, the ancestor of the violin.
