For almost a year now, Laurent Madiot has been returning to solo concerts in the "chanson" network. He works with his guitar, his tuba, and his legs, as he likes to say. His stage personality, humor mixed with tenderness, and energy win over the audience. This inspired us to propose co-producing his next album. Laurent hasn't released a record under his name in 10 years. Focusing on the collective project Les Fouteurs de joie, he took a step aside by creating two shows that blend theater and songs, and participated in two major tours with the youth concerts The Nino's and The Joe's (dedicated respectively to Nino Ferrer and Joe Dassin). He now wishes to return to his original desire: writing and performing songs in front of an audience; the concert in its timeless form. The songs on this new album were written, in some cases, several years ago. This project captures the vitality and richness of a first album; a form of invigorating rebirth. Laurent Madiot is a multifaceted artist, a poet with a unique vocabulary who plays with words like notes to better free the senses. He enjoys great contrasts, delights in double meanings, shivers at the slightest touch, and a hint of irreverence does not displease him. Laurent Madiot's songs traverse from one shore to another, free in both writing and musicality. An album like one would whisper a ballad into a friend's ear.
