The works gathered in this program are situated in Chopin's life between 1835 and 1842, that is to say, in the early years of his arrival in Paris in September 1831. Through the Sonata, the mazurkas, and the impromptus, Chopin's intimate and contradictory personality reveals itself in all its complexity. His states of mind, even the most excessive, remain under the control of his natural modesty. The refinement of his style reflects that of his thought. Laure Favre-Kahn is an experienced and recognized interpreter of Chopin, to whom she has already dedicated several records.
