Rewrite of spring Versions studio et live

Description

ReWrite of Spring is a tribute to Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring — one of the masterpieces of modern music, with a decisive influence on the development of jazz. ReWrite of Spring by the world-renowned saxophonist, composer and conductor Lars Moller is the first major project from his pen as leader of the Aarhus Jazz Orchestra. Drawing its melodic, rhythmic and dramatic inspiration from Stravinsky’s work, ReWrite of Spring unfolds transparency and ambiguity, virility and discouragement, thus exploiting the full expressive palette of one of the finest big bands in Northern Europe, crowned by the contributions of two first-rate musicians, saxophonist David Liebman and percussionist Marilyn Mazur.
